Can you believe we're already at August? As
always, this is just a short post to show my TBR for next month. My July
Wrap-up will be coming in the next few days so keep an eye out for that. This month I'll once again be participating in G's Magical Readathon - now
known as the Orilium Magical Readathon. This time round it is the Autumn Equinox and we're
trying to pass all our subjects to get our chosen career.
I've chosen Master of Elements and that means I need to read 9 books.
However, I'm hoping to read as many books as I can to pass even more
subjects.
My overall plan is to read 16 books in August; I want to catch-up on a
few series and also read some of the older books on my backlog. I'm going to
be busy most weekends but I'm hoping I can still get through these books,
especially if I'm able to take a week off.
So, without further ado, here are the books I plan on reading and which prompt they correspond to!:
1. The Golden Fool by Robin Hobb (Read a fantasy)
2. Fool's Fate by Robin Hobb (Wings on the Cover)
3. Daemon Voices by Philip Pullman (Raven on the cover/title)
4. Call Me, Maybe by Stephie Chapman (A book you don't know much about)
5. The Pale Dreamer by Samantha Shannon (Book with necromancy themes)
6. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon (Bone on cover/title)
7. The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon (Re-read a favourite)
8. The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon (Start a book with a drink)
9. The Dawn Chorus by Samantha Shannon (Book under 300 pages)
10. The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon (A prompt from the previous semester)
11. The Girl in 6E by A.R. Torre ( L in the title)
12. Tales of the Greatcoats by Sebastian de Castell (Point to a book and pick an adjacent book)
13. The Family Holiday by Shalini Boland (Sea setting)
14. Shipped by Angie Hockman (Single object as focus of the cover)
15. Blaze by Stephen King (Oldest book on your TBR)
16. The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O'Niell (Book with an animal companion/familiar)
So that's my TBR for August! It's a pretty big TBR but I'm hoping I can
get through all these books for the Orilium Magical Readathon. Let me know what you're reading and if you've read any of these books.
Also, are you participating in any readathons this month? Let me know if
you are!
